Peas and bees, jar and jug with Mary Johnson design illustration.

There is a lot happening at the moment, here at Created. Not only are we HQ for the Chatsworth Road Festival (5-13 October) but the panelled room is open and makers have been sending new work for us to display. First came Mary Johnson’s allotment inspired ceremics, part of our ‘How do they do it’ series of makers’ exhibitions. We are lucky to have a selection of Mary’s design illustrations alongside a good range of her work.

Our next maker is Twiggd, new to Created Gallery. Described as “colourful, illustrative, hand painted jewellery and interior accessories made from wood” we love them and have commissioned our own design: the ‘Ey up’ badge.

Our last new maker is Kirsty Prior from Carmarthenshire. She arrived at Created with five hare heads and we were delighted to give them a home. For two of the five, it has been a very short stay and I know that our customers are enjoying seeing them from the reaction to our hare head window.
